1. Who we are
EMST Timer is operated by Wade Xplorations LLC, based in Texas, United States. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the EMST Timer mobile app and this website, how we use it, and the choices you have.
2. Information we collect
We collect the following information when you use EMST Timer:
- Account information — your email address, and if you sign in with Google or Apple, the name and profile photo those services share with us. You can also sign in with just an email address and password.
- Device notification token — a token tied to your device so we can deliver notifications to you, if you allow them.
What we deliberately don't collect: your exercise session data — the sets and reps you complete, your rep-by-rep ratings, and your session history — is stored only on your device and is never sent to or stored on our servers. We also don't use any third-party analytics, advertising, or crash-tracking tools, so we don't collect usage data, device diagnostics, or crash reports.
3. How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Create and secure your account, and let you sign in
- Deliver notifications to your device, if you've allowed them
- Respond to your support requests
- Maintain and improve the app
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
4. Third-party services
EMST Timer relies on a small number of third-party services to function. Each processes data in accordance with its own privacy policy:
- Supabase — authentication and database hosting for your account information
- Google Cloud — hosts the backend service the app talks to
- Google Sign-In and Apple Sign-In — if you choose to sign in this way, Google or Apple handle that authentication and share your name, email, and profile photo with us per their own privacy policies
- Expo — delivers app updates and manages device notification tokens
5. Data retention and deletion
We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time directly in the app, from Settings > Account Settings > Delete Account — this removes your account and profile information immediately. If you can't access the app, see our data deletion page for how to request deletion by email instead.
Deleting your account does not automatically erase exercise session history already saved on your device, since we never receive that data in the first place — you can clear it from within the app, or by uninstalling the app.
6. Security
Your account data is encrypted in transit using TLS and at rest by our hosting providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information using industry-standard practices.
7. Children's privacy
EMST Timer is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete the personal information we hold about you. To exercise any of these rights, email us at support@emsttimer.com.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, notify you in the app.
